The Journey of a Christ-Follower
People around the world think different things when they hear the word "Christian". It is a very commonly used word, and the #1 religious word on Google, indexed over 340,000,000 times- more that "Jesus", "God" or any other religious word.
The word Christian means "Christ-follower". And yet, many today who call themselves Christians are not really following Christ. To understand what it really means to be a Christian - a true Christ-follower - we must turn to the words of Jesus Christ himself:
Eating the Dirt
All Christians are Slaves - But to What?
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, there are over 6.7 billion people in the world. According to Romans 6, all of them are in slavery.
Good to Great
There is a good business leadership book called “Good to Great”- it has been on the bestsellers list for past 2 years or so. SermonCast - Church Podcasting Made Easy
Pastors are realizing that while only a few mega-churches can afford to preach their message to the world through T.V. and radio broadcasting, almost any church can have a world-wide podcast. And young and old alike, people are not buying cassette tape players or even CD players- they are buying iPods. For emerging churches, podcasting is the new medium of choice.
Fighting for Aslan: The Christian’s Journey
For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.
